A new day

It's been a bit. The mom-in-law is gone and the wife and kids are back! Everything is going well.

Our baby sitter is quitting on us. Considering the ass pain it was getting her it looks like Melissa is probably going to end up quitting her job. Over all I'm not bent out of shape about it at all. She doesn't make a lot of cash, we never see each other, and picking up the kids tacked on another 40min or so to my day. It'd be kind of cool to eat dinner together again.

I beat "The Simpsons Game" for the PS3. If you get a chance to pick that up...pass. It's better than the demo makes it out to be (aka freaking HARD) but it's not as good as it should have been if they would have tightened up the controls. There's several areas in the game where you're jumping over water\lava\bottomless pits but it's really hard to gauge the jumps. You land in the "stuff" and you're dead...and you have to jump 15 times...so you die a lot...and swear...you'd throw the controller but it's $40 freaking dollars so you develop a burning sensation in your chest and your arm gets tingly. Good times.

I bought "kickboxer" in the $5 movie bin. That's a blast from the past and a movie that captured my heart and mind as a youth. Popped it in the DVD player last night while the wife was snorting her "diner dash" crack on the PC. Holy crap balls is that a bad movie. Not a little bad, it's all the way bad. There is not one redeemable part to the whole thing other than the dancing scene in the bar. He's going around screaming and flexing his oiled up bod. At first it was "wow, he's pretty jacked". Then you move on to "why is he doing that? stop it!! how does this posing contribute in any way? DAMN IT!!"

Almost done reading "Made in America: The Matt Hughes Story". Matt is a big UFC stud and this is his story...blah blah blah. It's kind of interesting in the way that you can believe what is there. The book comes off like he wrote it...judging from the Chuck Lidell\Tito Ortiz\ect books that all came out in rapid succession I tend to think he more told stories and someone wrote them all down. The book itself doesn't really do anything but confirm that he really is a bit of a jackass. He's also very driven and dedicated to being the best, so there ya go. Makes for an interesting glimpse into someone else's world.
